DESCRIPTION:P2 West is hosted by the Pacific Northwest Pollution Prevention Resource Center and is scheduled for October 18-20 in Portland\, Oregon. \nConference topics include environmental justice\, Safer Choice\, Environmental Preferable Purchasing\, advances in toxics reduction\, Pollution Prevention (P2) technology\, and emerging issues. Hands-on demonstrations of state-of-the-art P2 technologies and assessment training will be offered. A guided tour of EcoBiz certified businesses in the Portland area is planned\, as well as presentations on a variety of successful programs from across the country. This year’s event will feature keynote speaker Jennie Romer\, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Pollution Prevention within the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention\, US EPA.
